Dawn to Dusk Designs was founded by Aurora Rodríguez who is passionate about Interior Design and struggled with boring, all white spaces that are not inspiring. Her desire is to help design and teach clients how to be bold, not be afraid of color, and make their space fun and exciting. She wants them to walk into their home or business space and feel like they never want to leave, feel alive, and be excited about life.

About Aurora
Aurora Rodríguez, founder of Dawn to Dusk Designs, is a born and raised Los Angeles native of Mexican decent and comes from a very unique educational background. After earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology, she found her true passion and pursued a second career in Interior Design.
Aurora realized her passion for interior design after finding that she had a keen sense for decorating her living spaces and offices.
Aurora earned her Interior Design degree Cum Laude and was a President’s Honor Roll recipient at the renowned Fashion Institute Design of Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, CA.
She never imagined how satisfying it would be to find a true calling. She found out that her degree in Psychology compliments this new career choice when she saw how closely psychology and color are intertwined and play a huge impact on people’s moods and experiences in their environment. She strives to help people feel comfortable and love their surroundings. This in itself is what’s amazing about Interior design: being able to work and communicate with people, serve their needs, and help them live a happier life.
Prior to launching Dawn to Dusk Designs, she interned at the renown Wilson Associates in Los Angeles, where she focused on international high-end hospitality projects. In her internship position, she worked closely with architects and senior designers where she created presentation concept boards and reselected materials for million dollar hospitality projects, resourced and connected with vendors for specific projects, and utilized her Adobe Photoshop skills for image modifications and AutoCAD printing skills.
Aurora has been lucky in life to be able to use past work, travels, and educational experiences to mold her into a unique and well-rounded Interior Designer. This has resulted in her view of the world in a different scope than most.
Her design style draws from a unique eclectic blend. She finds design inspiration wherever she goes, even in the simplest things that nature has to offer. She loves various designs styles: those that are fun and those that range from transitional-to-organic and glamorous-to-whimsical, not to mention anything that sparkles.
If you ask her what is her design style is in 3 words, she would respond:
“Romantic, Poetic, and Eclectic.”
